Ontario families deserve better than a 4-year waitlist

We built ChildSpot because finding quality childcare should not require months of phone calls and years on a list.

Licensed childcare in Ontario should be discoverable and accessible for every family that needs it.

The CWELCC agreement reduced average daily fees at participating centres to about $22/day, but it also created unprecedented demand. Many centres now have multi-year waitlists. Parents are stuck calling dozens of centres, leaving voicemails, and waiting for callbacks.

Meanwhile, licensed centres regularly have short-term and part-time openings from family vacations, schedule changes, and program transitions that go unfilled because there is no efficient way to broadcast them.

ChildSpot closes that gap. We give operators a simple way to post openings in minutes and give parents a real-time search experience showing what is actually available right now. We are not a waitlist. We are not a directory. We are a real-time marketplace built for how Ontario childcare actually works.

ChildSpot was built by people who know this system from the inside.

Anthony spent years working within Ontario's childcare funding administration, watching parents struggle to find spots while licensed centres sat with unfilled openings and no efficient way to reach families. He left to build the connection that was always missing.

He partnered with Kelechi, who leads product and technology, to build what the system never had.
